2024 Honda Pilot Redesign– Honda’s big SUV is entering its 20th year of production with the release of its fourth generation. The redesigned Honda Pilot 2024 is expected to hit dealerships by 2022. Considering its last major update in 2015, this three-row SUV is poised for an overhaul.
Critics speculated on the changes they hoped to see. While certainly not as popular as its smaller sibling, the CR-V, the Pilot has a solid reputation for reliability, comfort, and affordability. Currently selling for $32,000, the Honda Pilot 2024 is expected to start at $34,000 and $38,000. Trim Touring, and Elite will likely cost more than $44,000 and $50,000, respectively.
Historically, the eight-seater Honda Pilot has appreciated below its competitors, such as the Toyota Highlander and Mazda CX-9.
Honda Pilot Features 2024
The Japanese automaker has been quiet about redesigning its Pilot model, but there are certain aspects that HotCars hopes will remain unchanged. This vehicle is known to be safe, relaxed, and smooth.
A nine-speed automatic transmission is paired with a reliable 3.5 – liter V6 engine. It offers up to 290 hp with 267 lb-ft of torque, according to Motor Authority.
Three-row SUVs should continue to be available in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The Honda Pilot 2024 should boast a carefully designed interior that is spacious with a large trunk, similar to the previous iteration.
2024 Honda Pilot Redesign
Critics anticipate the Honda Pilot 2024 to adopt a square profile, similar to the company’s redesigned Ridgeline model in 2021. As Kelley’s Blue Book describes, the rugged exterior will shift away from an outdated minivan-like design.
The roofline will slope towards the vehicle’s rear, where the rear hatch is less upright. A flatter roof will allow for easier attachment of equipment. Lengthening, with more clearance between the base of the A-pillar and the front wheels, signifies even larger dimensions for the Honda Pilot 2024. The additional color options are rumored to complement the SUV’s required modern exterior refresh.
Meanwhile, the already complete luxurious interior will likely get an infotainment system refresh. Reviewers were hoping for more standard features based on convenience. Due to the longer wheelbase, extra legroom for the second and third-row seats is possible.
Honda Pilot 2024 is expected to have the latest safety technology. The vehicle’s fuel economy must be improved to maintain its competitive advantage. Plug-in hybrid models should appear in the future.
