2021 Toyota Sienna Redesign
2021 Toyota Sienna Redesign– Toyota United States has just launched the minivans Sienna 2021 hybrid which has a bold character like a model sport utility vehicle (SUV) with supported many premium features. Reported from the official site of Toyota, Tuesday (19/5/2020), Sienna 2021 has premium features, such as sliding side doors, four-season climate control system, vacuum and refrigerator, and digital rearview mirror. The fourth-generation Sienna has a front view that is inspired by Shinkansen Japanese Bullet Train Rapid trains. The headlights are high-mounted and stretched sideways as if they were formed by a puff of wind.
Meanwhile, the thick low grill blends with the LED fog lights that taper sideways, thus visually making the car’s front view look wider. This look is similar to the hybrid Alphard. In the stern section, the Sienna 2021 has an arrow-shaped tail lamp similar to the Sienta model. The rear of the car also has a blackfin that is claimed to improve aerodynamics. “This is a completely new vehicle from the ground up, including a new chassis platform as well as a new electric platform,” says Chief Engineer Monte Kaehr. The revolution continues into the inside. The most striking feature is the Bridge Console, a central console capable of dividing the driver and passenger areas and hiding some of the storage space underneath. This feature is perfect for storing wallets and bags.

The Sienna 2021 hybrid has 10 airbags, including air pockets in the third row and the side air pockets attached to the first and second row seats. Digital mirrors and 360-degree cameras with sidewalk displays are new options. The car also has a 2.5-liter gasoline engine paired with two electric motors to produce a total of 243 horsepower, down 53 DK compared to the new-3.5, V-6 Sienna. However, this car’s combined fuel estimate reaches up to 33 miles per gallon (mpg). The number is far from the guidelines of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that defines the passenger car must reach an average of 54.5 mpg at 2025.
A hybrid car is a vehicle that combines fuel gasoline and electric motor battery. The mutual content of this energy model makes vehicles low-carbon because it reduces fuel consumption. The Sienna 2021 hybrid will begin to be marketed in the US at the end of 2020. Toyota hopes the car can be sold for 100,000 units for a year.
The bold design combined with spacious interiors
Toyota called the third-generation Sienna a “vanity card, ” But the model 2021 took it to a new level. Learn from minivan customers today that they don’t want to feel like they are driving a bus, the design team takes this to the heart and thinks carefully about how to incorporate the practical attributes of the minivan with an emotional desire to have more personalized driving experience.
A key term used to redefine a minivan experience is Smart confidence, purification, and innovation. With this in mind, modern instrument panels are crafted from a bold horizontal coating to express spacious and airy interiors, with a large central touch screen, handy storage capabilities, and an innovative Bridge Console, which is key to allocating personalized space to drivers and front passengers.
The Bridge Console is an innovative solution that departs from the general car layout. The ergonomic bridge is positioned in height between the driver and passengers for ease of use and elegantly connects the instrument panel to the center of the armrest. This unique feature allows the driver to have more stress-free and comfortable driving experience. The shifter and required functions are all within easy reach, along with cup holders, a wireless charger available, and ample storage space for smaller items. Under the bridge are large open areas for convenient storage of larger personal belongings such as wallets or bags.
To further celebrate interior spaceship, there is a Super-Long slide of the second line of captain’s seat sliding 25 inches, providing unprecedented legroom and flexibility to maximize comfort, especially when used with Ottoman features available. Even large adults can relax comfortably. With all the features, the best seats of each line in the segment!
The Sienna LE and some XLE models are equipped in an eight-seat configuration with two captain chairs, sliding the length of both seat lines and stable middle seats. Some models of XLE, as well as XSE, Limited, and Platinum are seven-seat models featuring Super Long’s second-row captain seat slides with the Limited and Platinum model FWD equipped with the Ottoman. There are intelligent solutions and first-class comfort throughout the interior to make this the most sophisticated, versatile, and enjoyable Sienna ever.
Safety
In addition to the exemplary collision protection provided by the TNGA-K platform, 2021 Toyota Sienna comes standard with second-generation Toyota Safety Sense (TSS 2.0), a comprehensive active safety system that includes:
- Pre-Collision System with pedestrian detection/lowlight Detection
- Full-Speed Dynamic range radar Cruise Control
- Lane Departure Alert with steering assist
- Trail Path helps
- Automatic High Beam
- Road sign Assistance
Pre-Collision System (PCS) with pedestrian detection is designed to provide automatic braking capability if the driver does not react in certain emergency time. The PCS system is not only designed to detect vehicles in front of but can also detect cyclists and even pedestrians in low-light situations. Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) is standard on all Sienna models, too.
2021 Sienna is equipped with 10 airbags: Driver and front passenger airbags; The driver’s knee airbag; Passenger seat bearing airbags; Front-seat side airbags; Rear Paste side seat airbag, plus side curtain airbag for all three lines. Toyota Star Safety systems include Enhanced Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) with traction control (TRAC), Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), anti-lock braking system (ABS), and Smart Stop Technology (SST).
Toyota took a step ahead of safety with features like seat belts behind passenger reminders and electric parking brakes (EPB) – as well as a new feature called Rear Seat Reminder. Designed with family safety, rear-tenant detection is based on door sorting logic where a Mid-meter Combi gives a warning “Attention: Check back seat for passengers and cargo.”
Confident driving performance
To give the trust of the driver Sienna to compete with all the SUV on the road, the natural and intuitive connection between the driver and the vehicle is achieved with the optimized geometry of the TNGA-K platform combined with the trailing multi-link rear suspension arm and enhanced body stiffness.
A quiet place to make some noise
As all Toyota vehicles are built on the new TNGA-K platform, the 2021 Sienna benefits from many step-by-action actions that bring the quiet library to the cabin. In particular, Toyota engineers focused on reducing the sound in the frequencies in which the conversation occurred.
High strength TNGA-K platform noise-resistant intrusion and curbs vibration through steering, floor and vehicle structure. Spacious, strategically placed noise insulation and body sealant further keep the outside noise where they originate-outside.
Of course, with all the connectivity on the plane Sienna offers (seven USB ports, available WiFi, optional JBL 1,200-watt amp/12-speaker Premium Audio and 1080p HD Rear entertainment system), the conversation is one of the things made better by a quieter cabin.
If the interior noise level should rise, say, due to a small quarrel between certain young passengers, the available unique Sienna driver Easy Speak is the best friend of the driver. Introduced in the third generation of Sienna, this feature is essentially a built-in PA system that carries the driver’s voice through the rear speaker audio system right into the source of interference.
In short, Sienna offers all the luxury of a big SUV, but with room for families, (7) USB ports, and up to 18 cups of holders.
Seeing the Invisible
The Sienna always offers a high and expansive view of the road that instills self-confidence behind the wheel. The high sitting position and large windows make the tourist machine excellent, while the privacy of the glass behind the front row means passengers do not ride in a fishbowl.
Over the years, Sienna has added excellent outside visibility and sightlines with the technology to see more of what is behind and around the vehicle. The 2021 Model provides the latest generation of that technology:
- The standard backup camera has a projected path, while the higher class models have a wide-angle monitor to show more of what is behind the vehicle.
- Each driver could use a little magic now and then, and Sienna has with digital available rearview mirrors. It serves as a standard mirror most of the time. But if the passenger’s back seat or some cargo hinders the scene backward, the touch of the switch makes all the barriers disappear, replaced by the camera image from the back of the vehicle. Digital mirrors are also integrated with HomeLink® transceivers to easily operate garage doors and other compatible devices.
- The available bird’s Eye View Camera With perimeter scan is the next best thing to launching a camera drone to look around for vehicles, but much easier to use. This technology delivers a living, 360-degree view to help the driver to see potential obstacles. It is especially important to see small children or animals that may be close to the vehicle. And, Curb View can help prevent scrubbing of beautiful 20-inch wheels.
- The 2021 Sienna Platinum comes standard with a 10-inch color Head-up Display, controlled through voice recognition and a steering wheel switch. Project display important information on the eye level, such as speed, navigation direction, and the TSS 2.0 function.
- Hybrid Finish Right
The 2021 Sienna driver may not even look at the most significant new model of engineering advancement: Hybrid powertrain. That’s the point. The Toyota Hybrid System II delivers 243 Total horsepower and manufacturer-estimated 33 combined MPG fuel economy, the latter setting the benchmark for segments, all while operating seamlessly and transparently.
Driver Sienna will feel an ultra-smooth acceleration and hear very little noise. What is noticeable is the kick in the low-speed torque of two electric motors working in concert with high efficiency 2.5 liters DOHC four-cylinder engine.
Critically, Sienna has no plug, and there is no need to ever recharge a hybrid battery pack, and of course, there is no need to spend a few thousand dollars putting up a battery charger in the garage. The Toyota Hybrid System II charges a hybrid battery automatically as a vehicle drive.
Many owners of Sienna have repeated customers; 2021 may be their second, third, or fourth Sienna for many years. They will appreciate it, like all the past models, the new version is strictly gas-and-away, but now with fewer stops for gas thanks to its hybrid system of efficiency.
The Sienna, though, does offer some surprises of performance control. The selectable EV, NORMAL, ECO, and SPORT driving modes allow the driver to adjust Van’s driving personality. NORMAL Mode is ideal for everyday driving; Sport Mode unlocks the boost from the hybrid system to improve acceleration response; The ECO mode extracts the maximum mileage of the fuel and battery, and the EV mode allows driving only electricity at low speeds for short distances.
The driver can use the sequential shift feature to “Downshift “, which improves regenerative braking in the steps. It is ideal for driving in hilly areas, for example, acting as a lower tooth while increasing the recovered energy sent to the HV battery. As a bonus, Sienna’s hybrid system enhances smooth driving by controlling the drive torque smoothly to suppress Pitch and dive under acceleration and deceleration.
The Sienna benefits from the Toyota 20 + years of global hybrid leadership and well-documented quality, reliability, and reliability. Plus, the powertrain warranty includes all The hybrid-related components, including the HV battery, for 10 years/150000 miles, whichever comes first.
Bought GearHeads Van too. They will be attracted by the 41-percent thermal efficiency of gas engines, one of the highest of any internal combustion engine cars on the market (except for other Toyota hybrid models). The gas engine employs a variable Valve Timing-a smart system with electric motors (VVT-iE) on the intake camshaft and VVT-I on the exhaust camshaft. A variable cooling system (electric water pump and electric thermostat) and fully variable oil pump further improve the efficiency of the engine.
A hybrid that thinks about fuel economy
The 7-inch multi-color information display in the instrument Panel includes a hybrid system indicator to demonstrate the output status and regeneration of the system and drive Eco-Driving habits. As with other Toyota Hybrid models, the display shows the optimal acceleration amount for Eco-Driving and provides a scoring function such as games for drivers.
Using an operating navigation system (when equipped), the efficient predictive drive (PED) analyzes the driving habits and memorize the road and traffic conditions to optimize hybrid battery charging. When the driver activates the PED, the system learns a recurring route and can predict when and where the vehicle tends to slow down or stop. Then, through the optimal Pedal Accelerator release time guide, features can reduce energy consumption, especially when driving through hilly areas or traffic jams. All owners must do is drive. Sienna will optimize its own fuel economy.
Electronic on-demand all-wheel drive
Sienna has long offered an optional all-wheel drive, and the 2021 model is no exception. The 2021 Sienna is the only vehicle in the segment that combines a hybrid powertrain with AWD, and the system is available on all value models for a very attractive price.
Sienna uses a new type of AWD called Electronic on-demand AWD. Rather than heavy transfer AWD cases and space-Rob driveshaft to the rear wheels, this AWD system uses independent separate electric motors for the rear wheel power of instant extra traction required and at all speeds of the vehicle.
As a hybrid system, a hybrid AWD system works seamlessly and transparently. During off-the-line starts, the pre-emptively AWD hybrid sends up to 80 percent of the driving force to the rear wheel to help prevent the front wheel slip. The Hybrid AWD system also enhances cornering agility by helping to reduce understeer, giving more confident Sienna handling nuance.
Torque distribution then varies with the condition, from 100:0 at a constant speed of driving to 20:80 on a slippery surface. Torque distribution is shown on the multi-information display.
